Meet our Founder

Jo Tindall

I moved back to Yorkshire in 2021 after more than 20 years of legal practice as an employment lawyer in Manchester. I built my career in leading national and regional law firms — DLA Piper LLP, DAC Beachcroft LLP and Walker Morris LLP — before successfully building my own practice over 13 years within Gunnercooke LLP, a market ‘disruptor’, and Top 75 law firm in the UK.

Upon returning to my spiritual and family home, I chose to live and work right on the edge of the Yorkshire moors. Nature, and the sense of peace and calm it creates, became a guiding influence on my life.

By 2026 I had grown a fantastic remote-based team, with a successful flexible working culture, supporting clients throughout the UK. I was already ‘doing law on my terms’ — but I felt an innate drive to create a firm that reflected my values and those of my team.

Why Moor Edge?

My vision is to create a law firm that brings calmness, ease and solid ground to my team and our clients, and feels a bit like ‘coming home’. And so, with this vision firmly in mind, Moor Edge Law was born.
